Ok, it may sound corny, but since today is Thanksgiving, and since I seem to have this obsession with feet, please allow me to express an opinion. We need to be thankful for our feet – whatever shape they are in. For the record, my feet are generally pretty good. The toenail on my left big toe is weird. This happened after a fully loaded wheelbarrow came down on the nail while gardening. The new nail came in misshapen and not fully attached near the tip of the toe. I have to pay constant attention to the skin on my heels.
It is our feet that get us where we are going. Injure your feet, or a foot, and you suddenly find out how hard it is to get around. They deserve good care. They deserve shoes that fit well, a good pair of insoles, moisturized skin, trimmed and filed toenails –whatever it takes to keep them happy.
It may seem like a stretch, but when you give thanks for your blessings, remember your feet.
